GMC/GMH tool solves the aluminum spot welding problem
Welding aluminum often leads to unclean welding spots, increased electrode wear and frequent re-milling. To solve this problem, we have developed the GMC/GMH tool, which is used with the patented MRD technology (Multi-Ringed Dome). This means that the electrodes are no longer smooth, but in a grooved shape. The three-dimensional geometry of circular elevations and depressions penetrates the oxide layer in a defined shape and over a large area when the tip comes into contact with the aluminum. This results in maximum conductivity for the welding current. This means that significantly more welding spots can be created with perfect spot welding quality without re-milling the welding tips.*
